Bio

Molly Coxe grew up in Georgia and the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. She graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in English Literature. She has two grown children and lives in the Hudson River Valley, and France.

The Bright Owl Books featured on this site are published in print and ebook editions by Kane Press. Molly's earlier picture books (Big Egg, Hot Dog, Cat Traps), published by Random House, have sold  more than two and a half million copies. Big Egg was recently published in a Spanish edition, Gran Heuvo. Hot Dog will soon be published in a bilingual edition. Her Beginner Book for Random House, A Ticket for Cricket, was published in winter 2021. Lumi, a picture book created during the pandemic, was published by Wisdom Publications in September 2022. (Check out the soundtrack, Lumi’s Song, on www.lumiverse.org.) Molly is currently working on a picture book, Gaspard et Grand-Père.
